While your iPhone or iPod Touch doesn’t come with a function that enables it to be used as a disk drive, consider the benefits of being able to do that. In example, if you had several hundred pictures that you would like to transfer from your computer to your device, or files that you just didn’t want to store in your computer, you could transfer them to your iPhone or iPod Touch. Unfortunately, your iPhone and iPod touch don’t possess the capacity to transfer these files.

So, how can you use your iPhone or iPod Touch as a disk drive?

The solution is a new application called the iTunes Explorer for iTunes 8 and iTunes 9. This application uses iTunes as an Explorer window so you can search for particular files and drop them from your computer into your iPhone or iPod Touch device.

These devices have anywhere from a 7 to 60GB storage space. In the event that you haven’t got a flash drive or blank CD on hand to store files, you can use your media device to do it.

Now, you may have to jail break your iPhone in order to obtain this functionality. Jail breaking is a term that applies to modifying the original software for your device. When you jailbreak an iPhone, you technically void the manufacturer’s warranty. Some people are unwilling to do this to their iPhone. Others don’t really mind modifying their devices with the idea of creating additional functionality.

Whether you decide to jailbreak in order to turn your iPod Touch or iPhone into a disk drive is up to you. I suppose it depends on how much you want to able to use your device as a disk drive. Of course, there are people out there who jailbreak all the time in order to push their personal devices to the technological edge of functionality through applications that are developed by unofficial installers and application creators.

Such a decision probably depends upon whether you are a technology enthusiast or just an everyday person with an iPhone or iPod Touch. While voiding the manufacturer’s warranty isn’t something that goes highly recommended, some enthusiasts feel that the risk is worth the payoff in order to be able to enjoy every technical application available, whether Apple declares it to be official, or not.

So, the decision is yours, go official with a little less technologically advanced device, or go unofficial and turn your iPod Touch or iPhone into a disk drive.

Have you been tired of a slow PC? Maybe you get crashes a lot, or maybe you get a lot of error messages – do you ever feel like your PC is just bogged down, running so slow that you feel like it is trying to pull a weight up hill, but is doing it at a very slow pace? Well, you are not alone. Computers do get bogged down by a lot of things, but a good Windows registry cleaner can do the trick, and that is where Regtidy comes in. Regtidy will get rid of slowdowns, eliminate freezes, and prevent crashes before they start by keeping your PC up to date with everything it needs.

It can also boost the speed of your internet, and get rid of all those “unable to load” messages that plague you from day to day as you surf the web and conduct daily tasks. Basically, it will make your PC run like new.

Stop using virus scans that don’t do any good, and stop trying disk cleanups that only make the problems go away for a few days. Windows registry cleaning is the way to go, and Regtidy is the real deal when it comes to cleaning your computer from the inside out.

A windows registry cleaner is also great for your business. Run it through all of your computers so that you can avoid buying new ones, and you can save your company a lot of money! Why spend hundreds of dollars buying new equipment when you can fix the stuff you have? After all, a penny saved is a penny earned, right? And who knows… there just might be a promotion in it for you. So give Regtidy a try, you won’t regret it, and your computer will thank you!

While online gaming has always been popular, the advent of smartphones has not only changed the way that people play, but also the way in which the games themselves are stored and distributed. As well as increasing the amount of options available for casual and serious gamers alike, the smartphone provides the most flexible way yet to play a variety of different games, with the range of choices available creating something of a gamer’s dream.

The most obvious advantage to being able to play games on your phone is the portable aspect of it. Whereas gamers were once restricted to using consoles or computers, nowadays everything from Zelda to roulette can be accessed on the go, without taking a clunky separate device along with you. Games can now be played anywhere and everywhere: in the doctor’s waiting room, on the bus, while waiting for friends; for the first time, a gamer no longer needs a specific environment or device to get playing.

As a result, more people than ever are accessing and enjoying all kinds of different games. And while beginners are slowly being attracted into online gaming, the smartphone provides the perfect platform for the first timer due to its user-friendly interface and simplistic style of play: if you can use a phone, you can play games on it!

Interestingly, the rapid pace of change within this industry has led to governments scrabbling to keep up. Thanks to the increasing number of people visiting the various types of online casino UK gaming laws have had to undergo significant changes, particularly in terms of providing licences to the companies that produce these games for smartphones in the first place.

For the first time, licences aren’t just being given to actual casinos, but to offices and computer labs where the games are being developed. Similarly, checking that players are over 18 (the legal age for betting and playing casino games in the UK), has sparked a whole new challenge – a mobile, however sophisticated, cannot ascertain somebody’s real age!

There have been changes to the financial aspect of gaming as well. The rise of smartphones has led to games becoming cheaper and cheaper, thanks to increased competition among manufacturers and various platforms. When the technology was relatively new manufacturers could afford to charge a little more for their goods. Now, however, the proliferation of the smartphone has led to a climate of games manufacturers working to constantly undercut their rivals in terms of prices. This is of course excellent for gamers!

As it becomes increasingly easy for the public to create their own mobile gaming app in their bedroom, manufacturers are becoming increasingly keen to stay ahead of the game. Under pressure to come up with ever-more innovative games and technology, manufacturers are pouring money into new developments in the hope that they will be able to find the next big thing. As a result, the market is constantly shifting, with new products coming out all the time; the world of mobile gaming is one of the fastest-moving industries we have today.

It’s indisputable that the technological advances of the last few years have significantly changed the world of online gaming and the way in which gamers can approach their hobby. Thanks to smartphones, games can be accessed and played anytime, anywhere, and the amount of options available to gamers has increased dramatically. But while it would seem that the technological world is at the top of its field, as any gamer knows the next big thing is always just around the corner. Tablet computers have added a fascinating new dimension to mobile gaming, particularly in terms of memory, processing and even screen resolution. While smartphones paved the way, it would seem that the mobile gaming revolution is only just beginning.
